Hard to believe
Although part of our daily lives today, it's hard to believe that email has been around for 40 years. Found this at Mashable.com which has many links to computer and tech news.
Also of note, AP Style Manual, has officially accepted "email" vs "e-mail" as of 2011, so we are making progress.

35 and counting
In July 1776, with a wing and prayer, a few books and journals and financial support from the Harris Foundation, the Department of Surgery Library opened it doors to faculty, residents and students. Along with the birthday, we will try to add interesting notes from time to time to help you survive in the electronic age - hints and tips you may find useful.
Hope you will check in from time to time to see what is happening.
